Learn how to build A food business with Maui Preserved @ Maui Food Innovation center
Have you ever wondered what it takes to launch you own food product? Do you have a great recipe that you want to share with the world?
Join me, Anthony, Co-Founder of Maui Preserved in my 3rd cohort at the Maui Food Innovation Center at University of Hawaii, Maui College campus in Kahului. It’s true, I teach and over the past three years I have been able to download some of what I’ve learned on Maui Preserved’s journey.
The 8-week course is called Concept to Consumer Incubator Program and you can join us by registering here.
We are lucky to have full access to the rental kitchen at the food innovation center during the 8-week course, both during and outside of class time.
Each week of the course will cover valuable step-by-step planning resources and information about starting, maintaining, and scaling your small food business right here on Maui and with growth strategies that match your goals.
The weekly class format schedules both lecture and hands-on recipe, process, and formula development in the classroom kitchen.
Topics include but are not limited to:
Recipe and Formula Development
Business Structure and Registration
Food Safety ( Good Manufacturing Practice (GMPs) and Standard Sanitation Operational Procedures (SSOPs))
Food Safety Compliance and Record Keeping (FDA and Hawaii Dept of Health)
Labeling and Branding
Where and How to sell your product on Maui and beyond
How to finance your growing operation
